A505 speed limit petition

The section of the A505 between Baldock and Royston from the junction at Slip End to the junction at Odsey has been the scene of more than 20 collisions where people were injured over the last five years including one fatal collision.

Getting the junctions changed could take years, so Steve Jarvis has pressed the County Council for the speed limit to be lowered on this section. This would be a simple change and easy to enforce because there are already speed cameras in place. In response the council said that they won't reduce the speed limit because traffic is going too fast!

Most people think that this is ridiculous.
