North Hertfordshire District Council is responsible for issues such as rubbish collection, leisure facilities, recycling, Council Tax collection, housing, and planning applications. The Council's offices are in Letchworth Garden City. The most recent elections were in May 2024 when all 51 District Councillors were elected for a four-year term to represent 25 electoral wards.
