Councillor Tina Bhartwas
Letchworth Norton
Letchworth is my hometown. I went to Hillshott and Pixmore schools, got around on the 55 bus, and found safety in the library. Growing up in poverty and experiencing domestic abuse led to me becoming homeless at 18. These experiences fuel my commitment to making a difference.
I believe in the power of community, and I’ve spent many years volunteering from spearheading Hertfordshire Against Holiday Hunger during COVID to serving as a trustee at North Herts CVS, the voice of the local voluntary sector. I currently serve as a school governor at Fearnhill and volunteer at my church.
As your councillor, I work hard to deliver tangible results. From securing the Norton Road school crossing and resolving flooding on Cowslip Hill to supporting families navigating the SEND system, I’m here to get things done.
