Lib Dem Borough Councillors have been funding several stages of environmental improvement works at Chells Manor Pond. The three councillors for Manor Ward (Andy McGuinness, Robin Parker and Graham Snell) are providing the funds for this ongoing project from their local budgets.
Thanks to the persistence and hard work of Stevenage Lib Dem councillors in Chells and Manor wards, six Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) are now operational in our local community.
A new zebra crossing is now helping hundreds of local Chells residents cross safely over busy Chells Way, near Tesco at The Glebe. It was the idea of local Lib Dem Chells County Councillor Robin Parker, who funded the crossing from his Hertfordshire County Council Highways Locality Budget.
Fixing more potholes, more quickly. That’s the aim of a trial scheme introduced by Liberal Democrats who lead Hertfordshire County Council. The trial will involve crews repairing *all* the potholes - not just the worst ones - within a troublesome section.
